Service Description
The "Get to know your machine" class is the prerequisite for this class. OR, knowledge of the machine: how to thread it, make and install a bobbin, and sew a straight line. Please contact me to register - SewWithMichelle@gmail.com or 508-641-2464 YOU WILL NEED TO PURCHASE: Nothing for this class. I will provide all supplies and materials. On Monday, February 16th from 11a-1 pm (or 2 pm if the creative juices are really flowing and the class is full) Class is for anyone age 8+ - an easy and FUN skill-building class with both machine and a little bit of hand sewing. And their own creative ideas! They can even use the special stitches! (They ALL ask if they can use those, lol) Limited to 5 students. Join me for this fun class where we will make your own creation - 16" silly monster pillow. This project will take between 1.5 - 2 .5 hours - depending on class attendance and the amount of work they choose to do. See below. ***It's very difficult to estimate time with kids. -They sew the wrong place; we need to take it out and redo it. -The thread breaks, and they like to re-do it themselves. It takes a painfully long time, lol. -Lots of little things can happen that take longer than expected. -I PREFER TO BE PATIENT WITH THEM AND LET THEM GAIN CONFIDENCE OVER RUSHING THEM. -My cell # is 508-641-2464. Please feel free to check in via text at any point or before heading back for pick-up. Sometimes I'm so involved that I don't hear notifications - If I don't answer within a few minutes, call me, and I'll hear that. -I know this can be difficult for busy parents. If finished early, we can let you know. If you can't get here for a little while, it's perfectly fine. I'd prefer to find something to entertain your child for a little while than to have you sit and wait here for us to finish. I know life is busy. Thanks for understanding! (DOES NOT APPLY TO PRIVATE LESSONS) Unfortunately, I have had to create this policy due to too many last-minute cancellations. My availability is very limited. I need to get as much as possible into this time. All funds are non-refundable; Unless I can replace you in a class, I sometimes have a wait list - if it's not too late, and someone is available to replace you, I will then refund your fee. For beginner courses - (4-week sessions) -The first class is a must - IF you need to miss a class after the first, you are welcome to join the next session/group/month to make up the same class, by appointment.
